SyncMate is a software tool that enables syncing your Mac data with data stored on Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud and other online cloud Due to macOS limitations SyncMate only syncs with online Outlook accounts; sync with desktop Outlook app for Mac is not supported at this time. The problem: iCloud stops syncing with Outlook and in attempt to fix it, the user opens Outlook's Add-ins list and deletes the iCloud add-in. The user then repairs or reinstalls iCloud, thinking it will fix the problem. For some reason, all of a sudden, I cannot receive my iCloud account email in Outlook for Mac, although I can do so on my iPhone and iPad. Format a disk on a mac for windows use too. I get the message, 'Mail could not be received at this time. The server for the account iCloud returned the error 'Authentication Failed'. ![]() Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?' My settings have not changed, so I'm puzzled as to why this is happening. That looks like a corrupted keychain entry. Open up /Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access and find and delete the entry corresponding to this account. Next time, Outlook should ask you again to enter your password. Simply re-enter it, asking Outlook to save it and it should be able to recreate a fresh new entry in the Keychain. Creating a new identity didn't help, either. As I noted earlier, the account works fine on my other devices such as my iPhone and iPad and even Apple's Mail client. Any other suggestions? Corentin I tried that as well.but still getting the same result. Are you 100% sure you're entering the right password? Can you try logging in icloud.com with the same identifiers? I've never seen that issue (excluding the keychain corruption option) unless the login and password were actually wrong. Corentin I tried that and it worked, but what I don't understand is how the password was changed.this just started a few days ago and no one has access to my computer. Note that this post refers to syncing Outlook for WINDOWS (all versions, as far as I can tell) with your iPhone. Microsoft offers (rather complicated) directions for syncing Outlook for Mac with iPhone. I can not speak to how well it works. These difficulties are a sample of the reason that I recommend AGAINST Outlook for Mac as a productivity solution.
